International Academy Certification in Myopia Management (IACMM)

The International Academy Certification in Myopia Management (IACMM) designation is an advanced accreditation offered by the International Academy of Orthokeratology & Myopia Control (IAOMC) to individuals who have completed a comprehensive training program in myopia management and orthokeratology.  By completing the IACMM program, individuals can demonstrate a high level of expertise in myopia management and orthokeratology and enhance their ability to provide the best possible care to their patients.

  • The IAOMC certifies that this member possesses superior skills in the following:
      • All factors predicting myopia risk
      • Epidemiology of myopia
      • Axial length measurement and the use of the data
      • The use of diagnostic instrumentation to assess risk or progress
      • Advanced assessment skills to design the optimal treatment protocol
      • knowledge of all treatment options to manage myopia
      • Ability to monitor change and modify treatment program

Who Is Eligible?

  • Any licensed OD or MD practicing myopia management
  • Must be a member of the IAOMC
  • Must own, use or have access to a biometer and topographer
  • Other advanced professionals will be considered on a case-by-case basis

What is the Process?

  • The fee is $399 (other IAOMC sections have a different fee)
  • Study using the recommended books and guides – “Managing Myopia One Child at a Time. Purchase the book here.
  • Pass the examination with 85%
  • Attain the IACMM
  • Keep your IAOMC membership current
  • Renewal of the IACMM is done annually at no charge
